I met Joe during one of mine photo walks around Fremantle. It's not difficult to see why he makes for such an interesting subject. He was painting a graffiti at WA INK TATTOO at 7 Point Street in Fremantle. I wanted to spent more time and photograph a bit more but Joe was working and I would be in his way.  The piece he was working on was very vivid, strong and full of contrast and I wanted the pictures to be like that too.
