My second destination wedding of the year was in Canada in stunning British Columbia. I never imagined my job as a wedding photographer will take me to places like this. I feel very lucky and humbled that someone would fly me to the other side of the world just so I can photograph their day.

It was truly a DIY wedding. Candice and her team of helpers crowd-sourced, hustled, borrowed and made almost every single piece of the decorations. Alert Bay is far away from vendors of a big city so it was the only way really. One needs to take 2 ferries and drive for many hours just to get there. With a bit of luck killer whales make an appearance.

Whole village helped to make this wedding happen. This is where Candice grew up and this is where she wanted to marry Kyle.
